Chicago Theater is an amazing venue - the tops! Audrey Hobert never ceases to amaze me. The man is still so creative, unique, and full of life and energy at 59 years old to put on a 2.5 hour concert. I really enjoyed this unique look into the making of his new album and the process(es) he took to generate this sound - his opening 'act' was a documentary made on Super 8 film, may have not been for everybody. The filmmaker's narration drove it home. Audrey then took the stage and re-worked some of his big, early hits, giving them a whole new sound. He also generously showcased the talent of his superb band members. The hard-core fans who were hungry for a new concert with new material were not disappointed, yet he satisfied the 'casual' fan with the rocking top ten hits they all came to hear. In my mind, the price tag was steep, but well worth the money for the show I witnessed, and the memories I will keep.
